Making Questions (Membuat Pertanyaan dalam Bahasa Inggris )

Ada beberapa cara membuat kalimat Tanya dalam bahasa inggris, berikut penjelsannya

Ø  pertama, menggunakan kata tanya (question words)

1.       Who (for people)

v  Who is that?

v  Who are you?

v  Who do you like?

v  Who did you go to school with?

v  Who accompanied you?

v  Who borrowed your pen?

2.       what/which (for things),

v  What is This ?

v  What is all that about?

v  What will you do?

v  What did you do?

v  What happened?

v  Which one is your?

v  Which one do you like?

v  Which pool did you go in?

3.       when (for time),

v  When was you born?

v  When will you go to here?

v  When was it happened?

v  When do you go to school?

v  When does she come?

v  When did you do your home work? 

v  When must I do the home work?

4.       where (for places),

v  Where are you from?

v  Where have you been?

v  Where will you go?

v  Where is my pen?

v  Where did you go last night?

v  Where are you calling from?

5.       why (for reasons) 

v  Why do you love me?

v  Why did you lie?

v  Why is the Apple here?

v  Why must she go to your house?

v  Why was it happened?

6.       how (for more details)

v  How do you go to school?

v  How many books do you bring?

v  How much sugar do you need?

v  How was it happened?

v  How do you make a pencil case?

 

Ø  Meletakkan an auxiliary verb, or a modal verb, sebelum subject atau kita sering menyebutnya dengan “yes-no Question”, for example;

v  Do you love me?

v  Do you want to accompany me?

v  Does she come here?

v  Will you help me?

v  Must I help you?

Ø  Melekatkan the verb “to be” sebelum subject, karena ketika the verb 'to be' sebagai main verb, kita tidak membeutuhkan auxiliary verbs.

v  Is it mine?

v  Was it good?

v  Am I beautiful?

Kata Tanya dikalimat tidak langsung, contoh;

v  I asked her what she was doing at the weekend.

v  Do you know where the post office is?

v  Can you tell me how much it costs?

v  'Excuse me, could you tell me where the post office is, please?'
